Role Overview:
The position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual capable of managing research activities, stakeholder coordination, and advocacy efforts simultaneously.
Success in this role will depend on strong ownership of timelines, follow-ups, coordination, documentation, and stakeholder alignment.
Location:
Karachi (may require occasional field visits, onsite meetings, and travel to workshop venues)
Duration:
Project-based role (1-year contract, with potential extension based on performance and project needs)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Education, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field
- Prior experience or academic coursework in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Research thesis or project report in a relevant field (strongly preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with NGOs, research firms, or development sector projects
- Evidence-based report writing and research documentation
- Strategy development, donor management, and program support
- Coordinating with policymakers and seeking endorsements/approvals from government departments
- Managing external partners and coalitions
- Organizing workshops, roundtables, and events
- Developing policy briefs, presentations, and advocacy materials
- Cross-functional collaboration with communications, finance, and operations teams
Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Proficiency in referencing styles (APA, Harvard, etc.)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills
